Bio and Contact Information

David Leigh
I joined the West Morris Regional faculty in August 2009 as the Director of Special Services after having served 18 years in New Jersey-based school districts as both a school psychologist and administrator. I have spent the vast majority of my years as an educator working at the high school level as I enjoy the many challenges that relate to working with adolescents.

I earned a B.A. degree in Psychology from SUNY at Stony Brook, an M.A. in Psychology from Montclair State University, and a Psy.D in School Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology of Rutgers University. After obtaining the doctorate in psychology, I worked for several years under supervision in order to become a licensed psychologist. My affiliations include membership with the New Jersey Principals and Supervisor’s Association as well as member and past president of the Morris County Association of Directors of Special Services.

The West Morris Regional High School District has a tradition of excellence relative to working with students at all levels and for ensuring that the educational experience is one that allows students to maximize their potential. I am committed towards working with my colleagues to provide a positive educational experience that offers appropriate levels of support while ensuring student accountability so that they are prepared for post-secondary settings.
